Today is my Gran's birthday so I made her this card. Basically very simple: a pre-printed image of a hydrangea flower was cut out several times - each time cutting out smaller pieces of the image and then sticking one on top of the other with thick sticky tape (which creates a 3D effect). That was added to a piece of green paper, then a piece of white paper on which I'd used watercolour pencils and water to create a darker purple trim. The lot onto green paper which was embossed with a tree trunk pattern (which is unfortunately barely visible on the picture :-(). Part one done (did I say "simple"?!?). Stuck it onto a purple card, then added a green ribbon and some plastic flower and leaf buttons with Swarovski crystal beads. To finish with a green stamped greeting.
